MyWingWhat MyWing is
MyWing is an app that helps you remember things about the people you date and love, brings them back at useful moments, and suggests plans. In this version, everything you give it is stored on your own device (see the privacy policy). MyWing is not yet available in the App Store or Google Play; when it is, those stores’ own terms also apply to your download.
You must be 18+
MyWing is only for adults. By using it you confirm you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live, if that’s higher).
Personal use
MyWing is for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please don’t copy, resell, reverse-engineer beyond what the law allows, or use MyWing to break the law or harm anyone.
Your content
What you put into MyWing is yours. Because it stays on your device, we don’t receive it and don’t claim any rights to it. You’re responsible for keeping your phone secure and for making your own copies (MyWing has an export in Settings) — if your phone is lost, reset or MyWing is deleted, its data goes with it.
Being fair to the people you save
MyWing is for remembering the good stuff — what someone loves, what they want, the dates that matter to them. Don’t use it to track, monitor, harass or pressure anyone, and respect the privacy of the people you write about, especially when you choose to share something.
What MyWing never does
MyWing never books, buys, pays for or messages anything or anyone on your behalf. Plans, gift ideas and invites are suggestions — you decide what to do with them, and any booking, purchase or message is between you and whoever you deal with.
Details MyWing shows about a place, event or product (hours, prices, addresses) come from what you saved and from the linked websites. They can be out of date or wrong — check before you rely on them.
No guarantees on reminders
MyWing tries to bring things back at the right moment, but we can’t promise that any reminder, resurfaced idea or occasion nudge will arrive, arrive on time, or be correct. Notifications depend on your phone’s settings, battery-saving features, time zone and permissions, and on what MyWing understood from what you told it. Please don’t rely on MyWing as your only reminder for anything important — a birthday, an anniversary, a medication, an allergy.
Other sites and apps
MyWing works with things you bring in from other apps and websites, and can link to them (and to Wingbie, a separate service where you can ask a human). We aren’t responsible for other services, their content or their terms.
No warranties
MyWing is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties — express or implied — including that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for a particular purpose. Suggestions are suggestions, not advice.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, for lost data on your device, or for anything that results from a missed or mistimed reminder or from a plan or suggestion you act on. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, and if you’re a consumer you keep all the rights your local consumer law gives you.
Stopping
You can stop using MyWing at any time: delete everything in Settings, or simply uninstall it. We may change or stop offering MyWing, and we’ll try to give reasonable notice in the app — including time to export your data — before we discontinue it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws that apply where MyWing’s publisher is established, without depriving you of the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in. Before anything formal, please email us — most problems are fixed faster that way.
Changes
We may update these terms. We’ll change the effective date above, and tell you in the app about any change that matters. Continuing to use MyWing after that means you accept the updated terms.
